Gods Detectives Leaders

Hi There,
We are a team of six who hope to bring the message of Gods Love to the younger generation on a Sunday Morning.
We come from a range of backgrounds and are all different ages. We like a laugh but don’t shy away from talking about important things. We work in teams of two.
We are all fully DBS checked we also have at least 2 qualified first-aiders.
First there’s Jane, she keeps the rest of us in order. She is a real family person and kind and gentle.
Then there’s Ben, He is the real comedian of the group, He certainly has the loudest laugh, he is also great at games and has more stamina than some of the youngsters.
Robert is the youngest of the group, he likes Dr Who and Rock music and can be found Tweeting in his spare time.
Cheryl is gentle and kind, shes also very organised and enjoys craft.
Then there’s Angela shes always rushing around, shes very good at finding out new activities to try.
Lastly there’s me Sandie I love music anything from church hymns to heavy rock, I also enjoy any sort of craft activity even when I’m not so good at it.
But the main thing we have in common is our faith and our wish to share it.
We meet in a small room in the church and would love you to come along, provided we have the space you can come and join in and see what you think.

“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
1 Timothy 4:12

G Ds Prayers

A Prayer For Mothers

A Mother does not come with instructions attached titled, “How a mother should be”
There are no numbered, lettered parts to put together in sequence.
She does not come with all the right knowledge or all the right tools.
There will always be parts left over and more to learn.
She gathers them all along the journey; Help us like mothers to gather the right knowledge on our journey as Christians.
A mother assembles her love that begins even before the baby is born.
If we are lucky, we will have many mothers.
They will come to us in many forms along our way.
We will learn much of who we can be from this journey.
With her, we will learn, when she is there and when she is not.

Help us Father God to learn who we can be.
Mothers may be happy, and may be sad.
She may be a lunatic or a genius.
She will be all these things at one time or another
or all at the same time, On the same day, in one hour or one minute.
She will be different from us and she will be like us.
She will have a part of us and we will have a part of her, from birth.
Alive or dead, Away or near, in love or in hate,
She will always be there just as you are always there Father God.
When she is gone from this physical, living world, and back to you
Her spirit will dance, tantalizing, lovingly, forever.
And We left to choose to let it torment us or set us free.
Father God Just As you are

She is there to watch over us, to hold us when we need comfort
To warn us when danger is near.
Just as you do

She will feed us and provide for us,
Soothe  our hurts, pick us up and dry our tears.
If we let her, she will do this all our life.
With courage, love and sometimes fear.
What she fears, she may never show us.
What she loves, we have to seek.
When we find and accept both,
our hearts may rest together in love and peace.

As our hearts rest in your love and peace Father God

Young Persons Lord Prayer

Our Father who lives in heaven
Your name is Holy
Bring your world to us.
And we will do what you say
Give us what we need
When we are wrong or people are wrong to us
Make it better
Help us to do the right thing
And not to make bad choices
For everything good belongs to you
Good Enough

by Belinda van Rensburg

God wants me to be myself
For He created me this way,
And since God made me who I am,
Myself I’m quite content to stay.

In His eyes I’m good enough –
It matters not what others say;
I need not act as if I’m tough
Or copy other children’s ways.

God doesn’t care if I’m not cool –
If I’m not stronger; thinner;
In His hands I am a tool
To reach out to another sinner.

Though I am still young and small
In Jesus Christ I’m strong and tall;
So when people look at me
May it be God’s own Son they see

Follow Me

Take my hand and follow me
to that place I long to be.
Take my hand and trust my way,
in that place forever stay.
Follow me toward the sand;
we’ll run and play, hand in hand.
Take my heart and hold it true;
forever I’ll stay close to you.
Seize my words and listen well,
then forever I will tell.
Release your heart and feelings too,
just as I will do for you.
Trust your heart and follow me,
to that place we long to be

May you always feel
as close to Jesus
as you do today,
May you always count on Him
to gently guide you
on your way…
May you always trust in God
to answer every single prayer,
May you always
feel Him blessing you
with tender, loving care.

I said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart although He spoke no word.
I didn’t ask for wealth or fame, I knew you wouldn’t mind.
I asked Him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind.
I asked that He’d be near you at the start of each new day.
To grant you health and blessings and friends to share your way.
I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small.
But it was for His loving care I prayed the most
